How to activate UAN

 To activate your UAN (Universal Account Number) on the EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organization) portal, you can follow these steps:

1. Visit the EPFO Member Portal: Go to the official EPFO website or member portal at https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.

2. Click on "Activate UAN": On the member portal homepage, locate and click on the "Activate UAN" link. It is usually found under the "Important Links" or "Services" section.

3. Provide UAN and Personal Details: On the activation page, you will be prompted to enter your UAN, along with other required details such as your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email address. Ensure that the details provided match the information registered with your employer.

4. Enter Captcha and Request OTP: Enter the captcha code as shown on the screen. Then click on the "Get Authorization Pin" or "Request OTP" button. An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number.

5. Verify OTP: Retrieve the OTP from your mobile phone and enter it in the designated field on the portal. Make sure to enter the OTP correctly.

6. Submit and Activate: After entering the OTP, click on the "Submit" or "Activate UAN" button. If the details and OTP are validated successfully, your UAN will be activated on the EPFO portal.

7. Set Password: Once your UAN is activated, you will be prompted to set a password for your EPFO member portal account. Choose a strong password that meets the specified criteria and follow the instructions provided on the screen to set it.

8. Login and Access Account: After setting the password, you can log in to the EPFO member portal using your UAN and the newly created password. Explore the portal to access your EPF (Employees' Provident Fund) details, view passbook, and avail various online services offered by EPFO.
